Verifying AWS Data Sync in CostQ

Once you integrate AWS with CostQ using Assume Role ARN, CostQ begins syncing AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR). You can verify the data sync to ensure CostQ is correctly fetching cost data.

📌 Step 1: Check AWS Integration Status

  1. Log into CostQ.
  2. Navigate to Integrations → AWS.
  3. Locate your connected AWS account and check the Sync Status:
    • Active: Data is syncing correctly.
    • Pending: Sync is in progress; wait a few minutes.
    • Failed: Check error logs and troubleshoot.

📌 Step 2: Verify Cost Data in CostQ

  1. Go to Dashboard → AWS Cost Overview.
  2. Look for recent cost breakdowns and usage reports.
  3. If data is missing, click "Sync Now" to manually trigger an update.

📌 Step 3: Check Last Sync Time

  1. Open Integrations → AWS → Sync Details.
  2. Find the Last Sync Time.
  3. Ensure it reflects recent updates.

📌 Troubleshooting Sync Issues

🔹 No Data in CostQ?

  • Verify that AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR) are enabled in AWS.
  • Check if the IAM role has Billing Read-Only Permissions.

🔹 Sync Status Shows "Failed"?

  • Go to Settings → Logs to check the error details.
  • Ensure AWS IAM Role permissions are correctly configured.
  • Try deleting and re-adding the integration.
